Explaination : The basidiocarp of Ganoderma, a fungus as beautiful as it may seem is highly destructive, silently claiming the life of the oil palm. Picture taken from an oil palm seedling artificially infected with the fungus. Seedling has developed first sign of infection with lower leaf necrosis/desiccation.
